Researchers from the University of Utah, Salt Lake City, investigated the effect of lecithin added to enterally delivered breast milk on fat losses which have been previously observed due to adherence of the fat to various pump systems.1 Lecithin, a phospholipid, has been used in the food industry as an emulsifier of fats.
