The objective of this 10-year study by researchers from the Universities of Aberdeen and Dundee was to investigate the association between socioeconomic status and orofacial clefts (OFC) in Scotland. Eight hundred thirty-four births with OCF were identified from a nationwide cleft registry and compared with the total of 603,825 live births in Scotland during the same period.
