In this report, the authors present a series of 5 cases of toothpick-related injuries and foot infections in children ages 6–13 years managed at Children’s National Medical Center, Washington, DC. All of the children had been walking barefoot when the toothpick puncture injury occurred and all 5 presented with pain, redness, and swelling of the foot; none had fever or foot drainage.
