Investigators at Childrens Hospital and Regional Medical Center in Seattle, Wash, performed a retrospective chart review of patients with craniosynostosis who were examined between 1991 and 2000. Of 503 children with craniosynostosis treated during the 10-year study period, 27 had multiple suture craniosynostosis and manifestations of increased intracranial pressure. These 27 patients comprised the study subjects and were divided into 2 groups for purposes of analysis. Fifteen children with normal sutures and/or head shape at birth
