Molluscum contagiosum is a common childhood viral infection of the skin. Researchers at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, Australia, used an anonymous questionnaire to study parental perceptions of the psychological impact of this dermatitis on 30 children seen in their dermatology clinic. The parents were queried regarding their children’s history and the impact of the condition on their daily lives and on the children themselves.
