Demodex Folliculitis in Children with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia

Children with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) are susceptible to proliferation of Demodex mites, resulting in facial papules and pustules (Demodex folliculitis). Investigators from the University of Utah, Salt Lake City, report cases of refractory Demodex folliculitis in 5 children receiving maintenance chemotherapy for ALL.
