Pauciarticular (also called "oligoarticular") onset juvenile rheumatoid arthritis (JRA) is defined as arthritis involving four or fewer joints.1 In many children, only a single joint is involved with the knee being the one most often affected.2 The authors of this study retrospectively reviewed the charts of 215 patients in Seattle with pauciarticular JRA, who collectively had 357 affected joints.
