A study from the West African nation of Guinea-Bissau suggested that children who had experienced measles were 33% less likely to develop asthma than children who had been vaccinated against measles.2 The above study from Finland used comprehensive, nationwide computer records of measles and allergic diseases to evaluate this hypothesis.
