In this prospective cohort study, Valadka et al determined functional outcome of pediatric trauma patients at a mean of 4.4 years following injury. Patients were 18 years of age or younger at the time of the injury (mean 13 years, SD 5), and had been admitted to an Ontario, Canada regional trauma center from 1991 to 1997 for the treatment of injuries that were at least of moderate severity, ie, Injury Severity Score
