Growth in Children with Asthma

This multicenter study from the Childhood Asthma Management Program¹ sought to determine if asthma severity adversely affects linear growth or bone mineral density (BMD) in pre- and early-pubertal children with mild-moderate persistent asthma. One thousand forty-one children between 5 and 12 years of age with mild-to-moderate persistent asthma were enrolled in the 5-year study.
