From a representative sample of 3,886 twins (1,314 monozygotic, 1,296 dizygotic same-gender, and 1,276 dizogytic opposite-gender), the lowest 5% with regard to selected cognitive skills (sampled at 2, 3, and 4 years of age and then averaged) were selected by investigators from the United Kingdom and Germany.
