A cohort study was performed by the Danish Epidemiology Science Centre, Copenhagen, to evaluate whether vaccinations have contributed to the increasing prevalence of type 1 diabetes mellitus (DM1). Investigators evaluated detailed information on vaccinations and DM1 in a cohort comprising all 739,694 children born in Denmark from January 1, 1990 through December 31, 2000.
