To assess effects on fertility, investigators from multiple institutions utilized data from the Childhood Cancer Survivor Study (CCSS) to identify women who had received treatment for cancer as a child or adolescent. The CCSS is a multi-institutional, National Cancer Institute-sponsored retrospective cohort study consisting of 20,720 survivors of childhood cancer diagnosed between 1970 and 1986 and greater than five years out from completion of treatment.
