Investigators from Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center prospectively examined the incidence of endocrine dysfunction in children following moderate-to-severe traumatic brain injury (TBI). Study patients were enrolled one to five weeks after TBI. A variety of endocrine tests were obtained at multiple times after TBI. Moderate-to- severe TBI was defined as a post-resuscitation Glasgow Coma Score (GCS) ≤ 12.
