Investigators from Denmark studied the association between duration of breast-feeding and the risk of epilepsy in early childhood. Data for the study were abstracted from the Danish National Birth Cohort that included 69,750 children born between 1997 and 2003 who were followed until 2008. Information on breastfeeding was collected by telephone interviews with mothers when their children were approximately 6 and 18 months old.
