Investigators from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) assessed the impact of their perinatal telemedicine outreach program, Telemedicine Outreach Utilizing Collaborative Health-care (TOUCH). Nine community hospitals participated in the program; 4 of these hospitals had a NICU. The program was conducted using telemedicine and consisted of twice-weekly obstetrical census rounds, 24/7 access to obstetrical and neonatal telemedicine consultations, thrice-weekly neonatal rounds, and thrice-weekly interactive video education conferences for obstetrics and pediatrics. …
