Investigators from Boston Children’s Hospital conducted a retrospective chart review of children with urinary tract infection (UTI) to determine the positive and negative predictive value of renal and bladder ultrasonography (RBUS) for detecting vesicoureteral reflux (VUR) and other genitourinary (GU) anomalies. Clinical encounters were reviewed for children aged <60 months who had a RBUS and voiding cystourethrogram (VCUG) performed on the same day for the indication of UTI.
