Investigators from multiple institutions sought to determine whether the FDA black box warning for increased suicide risk with antidepressant use among adolescents changed use of these medications and suicidal behavior. Study data were obtained from an automated data system that includes 11 HMOs providing care to 10 million people in 12 states.
