Researchers from the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and the University of Pennsylvania sought to provide estimates of abuse prevalence among children ≤5 years old with femur fractures and to describe the association of specific clinical features with likelihood of abuse. The authors conducted a systematic review of studies published between 1990 and 2013 on femur fracture etiology in children ≤5 years old.
