Researchers from the Cardiff University School of Medicine in the United Kingdom conducted a prospective longitudinal study to determine the prevalence and locations of bruising in preschool children over time and by developmental stage. Study participants included healthy children <6 years of age. Children with motor disabilities, bleeding disorders, or suspected child abuse were excluded.
