Investigators from multiple institutions assessed the awareness and initiation of the human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine series among US women and girls based on sexual orientation. Data from the 2006–2010 National Survey of Family Growth (NSFG), a national probability sample of 15- to 44-year-old women, were abstracted for the study.
