Investigators from Vanderbilt University conducted a retrospective study of golf cart injuries in children. For the study, the investigators reviewed the trauma registry at a level I pediatric trauma center to identify patients <18 years old admitted to the hospital with golf cart–related injuries between 2008 and 2016. Data on demographics, details on the events surrounding the golf cart injury, use of safety measures, and hospital course and charges were abstracted from the registry and medical records of study children.
