Investigators from Kansai Medical University, Osaka, Japan, conducted a prospective study to assess the impact of excessive sodium intake on the efficacy of treatment with 1-desamino-8-D-arginine vasopressin (DDAVP) therapy in children with nocturnal enuresis. Children, 7 to 10 years old, who were seen at Kansai Medical University Hospital with monosymptomatic nocturnal enuresis were enrolled in the study. A morning urine sample was collected from participants, and urinary sodium and creatinine levels were measured.
