Investigators from several federal agencies conducted a study to assess compliance with AAP safe sleep recommendations among US infants. Study data were abstracted from the 2016 Pregnancy Risk Assessment Monitoring System (PRAMS) survey. PRAMS is a population-based survey conducted by the CDC of mothers with recent live births from 39 states. Only data from states with a 55% response rate were included in the analyses.
