Investigators from Hacettepe University, Ankara, Turkey, conducted a retrospective study to assess the efficacy and safety of extracorporeal shockwave lithotripsy (SWL) for treatment of kidney stones in children <2 years old. For the study, they reviewed the records of children <24 months old who underwent SWL between 2009 and 2019. Data collected on study participants included (a) age; (b) number of kidneys involved; (c) stone size and location; and (d) information regarding initial treatment, complications, and follow-up.
