Investigators from Jikei University School of Medicine, Tokyo, Japan, conducted a randomized controlled trial (RCT) to assess the association between supplementation of breastfeeding in newborns with cow’s milk formula (CMF) or breastfeeding with or without supplementation with an amino acid-based elemental formula (EE) and development of asthma among children at risk for atopy.
