This study from the University of Minnesota evaluated the incidence of car seat-associated respiratory instability (apnea, bradycardia, and/or oxygen desaturation) in 50 healthy preterm infants (born at 35 to 36 weeks gestation) and 50 healthy term infants (born ≥37 weeks gestation).
